One of the Bible studies that my Heavenly Father and His Son blessed me with is His Word concerning the ten lost tribes of Israel. There exists Bible prophecy that God gave of what the ten scattered tribes of Israel were to accomplish in connection with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Church. And I am not pointing only to Jewish converts to Christ with that either.
1. God's Birthright:
Did you know that God Himself has a Birthright that He gave to His "firstborn"? Afterall, He is a 'Father' to children also. In Psalms 89, God called king David His 'firstborn'. And then later in Jeremiah 31:9 God said Ephraim is His 'firstborn'. Moreover, in 1 Chronicles 5 we are told that the "birthright" went to the sons of Joseph, because Reuben, the firstborn son of Jacob, defiled his father's bed by having intercourse with one of Jacob's concubines.
1 Chron 5:1-2
5 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2 For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

That above reveals that God's Birthright, which involves the covenants and promises God first gave through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, eventually fell upon Joseph's two sons Ephraim and Manasseh. And one of the blessings that fell upon Ephraim, the younger, from his father Jacob, was that Ephraim's seed was to become "a multitude of nations" (Genesis 48). Might that have something to do with why... God said Ephraim was His firstborn? I am certain it does, for the Birthright is to go to the firstborn, unless the firstborn does something to lose it (like Reuben did, or like Esau did by willing to sell it like it was mere wares to be sold or traded).
You will not find that Birthright above not being transferred anymore once it fell upon Joseph's two sons Ephraim and Manasseh. That means, upon Ephraim and Manasseh is still... where God's Birthright is to this day. Ephraim was the head tribe over the northern ten tribes of Israel and was scattered with the rest of the ten tribes, including most of Manasseh, and very few know where God scattered them and where they are today. Yet God's Birthright still was never moved from Joseph's two sons.
2. What all is included in God's Birthright?:
a. One of God's first blessing of promise to Abraham per Genesis 13 & 17 was that He would make Abraham's seed as the dust of the earth for so many. He promised Abraham a seed as many as the stars of the sky. Abraham believed God, and God counted Abraham's Faith as righteousness.
b. In Genesis 22, God adds another promised blessing for Abraham and his seed. Abraham's seed would possess the gate of his enemies. What that means is, God's Birthright blessing also included great military strength, God even promised to Israel at one time a 10:1 victory ratio over its enemies. This blessing has continue by God's Hand in His Birthright to this day. But where, you might ask? Ah... you'll have to study His Word more to find out, and be careful not to listen to men's doctrine.
c. then God's Birthright would continue to Isaac. In Genesis 26 some of the same promises God gave to Abraham were given to Isaac. This is about God's transfer of His Birthright through a specific chosen seed that He selected in with duty in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that Christ would be born through. The unbelieving Jews do not represent the Promise by Faith first given to and believed by Abraham (see Galatians 3 and Romans 4).
d. After Isaac, God's Birthright continued to Isaac's son Jacob. Because there was a stir in Rebekah's womb being pregnant, the wife of Isaac, she prayed about it. God told her there two manner of people in her womb, and that the younger would rule over the elder. Jacob was the younger, and Esau was his elder brother. God has showed Rebekah that His Birthright would go to the younger Jacob. Esau, who was a hunter, couldn't find game one day and was hungry. Jacob had food cooking, and Esau being the elder upon whom the Birthright was to go to, sold the Birthright to Jacob for the food. And thus Jacob received the transfer of God's blessings from his father Isaac (see Genesis 25 thru Genesis 27). (A translation issue in Gen.27 is about Esau returning from the field and begging for the blessing from his father Isaac also, after Isaac had already given it to Jacob. In most Bible translations, Gen.27 shows Isaac giving Esau the exact... same... blessing that was to Jacob. Some scholars claim that is a scribe error in the Hebrew; that Esau's blessing is actually the idea of "away from"... all those blessings given to Jacob, which appears to be more accurate.)
More description of God's Birthright was mentioned by Isaac when giving it to Jacob. Isaac said, "God give thee the dew of heaven", and "the fatness of the earth", and "plenty of corn and wine". If you look at those blessings in today's earth, where are those blessing most manifested on earth? In the Christian West and free nations in Christ. And that may have applied to old Israel before God sent the kings of Assyria and the king of Babylon upon it and scattered all 12 tribes, but those blessings in the nation state of Israel still cannot compare to those things in the Western nations. This is not by chance. It is about God's Birthright blessings.
e. Now Jacob is in possession of God's Birthright. Jacob went to Haran for the night, and made a stone pillar his pillow. He dreamed of a ladder with angels ascending and descending from Heaven, with The LORD standing above it. He then told Jacob and his seed would inherit that land, that Jacob's seed would be as the dust as the earth, and that they would spread to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south; and that in Jacob's seed all the families of the earth would be blessed (Gen.28:10-14). Jacob then woke up in the morning and anointed the stone pillar with oil, calling the name of that place Beth-El, which means 'house of God'. That is the name of that stone pillar too, the Bethel Stone. The Israelites carried it on their journeys.
f. then in Genesis 32, Jacob wrestled with The Angel of The LORD, and would not release Him until He blessed Jacob. God then gave Jacob the new name "Israel", because Jacob as a prince prevailed with God. But the name Jacob would still be used throughout The Bible after that, giving us a hint about that new name Israel. The new name Israel points to God's Birthright blessings first given through Abraham, then to Isaac, and then to Jacob. What is truly very important to note about that is, per Apostle Paul in Galatians 3, the Promise by Faith which Abraham believed and God counted it to Abraham as righteousness, Paul said is the same Faith those in Christ Jesus have believed. Now just what Faith is that about? It is about the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Thus God's Birthright blessings INCLUDE care of The Gospel Promise by Faith! That is what that reveals.
g. then in Genesis 35, God gives Jacob (or Israel) another Birthright blessing. God told Jacob that He make of Jacob's seed "a nation, and a company of nations". OK, now think for a moment. Just how many nations has the nation of Israel ever been? Just one. So who in the world is that "company of nations" about that God promised would be of Jacob's seed? (Genesis 35:11).
That promise of Jacob's seed making up a "company of nations", that is actually part of the blessing God gave to Abraham that in his seed all the families of the earth would be blessed. That is not only... pointing to The Gospel going to the nations also and those nations who accept Christ Jesus being blessed, but is also literally pointing to a "company of nations" from Jacob's literal bloodline offspring, literally a company of Israelite nations! Where did that happen? Has it happened yet? That is yet another part of God's Birthright blessings involving the seed of Jacob spreading to four corners of the earth per Genesis 28:10-14.
h. then God's Birthright fell upon Jacob's son Joseph. In Genesis 37, Joseph dreamed that his symbolic sheath would rule over his 11 brethren, and he told the dream to them, which made them jealous. Joseph then had another dream about reigning over his parents, which he also told them about. This would happen when Joseph was sold to Egypt when his 11 brothers kidnapped him. Joseph married a priest while in Egypt and had two sons, Manasseh the elder, and Ephraim the younger. God's Birthright fell upon Joseph, thus God exalted Joseph in Egypt even while separated from his brethren.
i. now we're back to 1 Chronicles 5 regarding God's Birthright falling to Joseph's two sons Ephraim and Manasseh. In Genesis 48, Jacob blessed Joseph's two sons, saying to let his name Israel be named upon the two lads, and he then transferred God's Birthright blessing upon the younger Ephraim's head. Joseph tried to correct his father Jacob's hands, because Manasseh on the right side was the elder, but Jacob knew what he was doing, and said that Manasseh would indeed be "great", but that his younger brother Ephraim's seed would become "a multitude of nations".
So there's that Birthright promise of a seed as the dust of the earth, and as many as the stars of the sky. What becomes a major eye-opener about this, once it is properly understood per God's written Word, is that the head tribe over the northern ten tribes of the old nation of Israel before God split it up, was the tribe of Ephraim. And those northern ten tribes were not known as Jews. Those known as the Jews was about the southern tribes of Judah and Benjamin, and Levi, called the "kingdom of Judah" after the split of 1 Kings 11. God even made Jeroboam of the tribe of Ephraim king over the northern "kingdom of Israel" per 1 Kings 11. So the northern ten tribes actually made up the 'majority' of the seed of Israel. Around 732 B.C., the kings of Assyria removed all of the ten northern tribes out of the northern holy lands, and took them captive to Assyria and the lands of the Medes, never to return (2 Kings 17 & 18). The Jews of the southern "kingdom of Judah" remained in the holy land at Jerusalem-Judea. Thus the majority of the seed of Israel were removed by 732 B.C. The Jewish historian Josephus who lived around 100 A.D. said the ten tribes were still beyond Euphrates, and were a great number, too many to be counted. So at least up to his day, the Jews in Jerusalem still knew where the majority of the ten scattered tribes were. But then centuries later the ten tribes became lost to the Jews, and to the world, but not to God.
