God, the mind. relationship and calvinism

As a moderator on Baptistboard I often lied about Calvinists. I even made up posts in which I lied and said I was a Calvinist when I never really was.
other moderators Scarlett O. and Salty went along with it because they hate Calvinists also.
Not one christian had problems with me being a lying moderator. They were afraid because I would edit and silence everyone who did not submit to my ideas. Most solid posters left because of me. The board is now a shallow wreck ,but most of the Cals are gone.
No one thinks it was unethical to do what i have done. Some did think i was a moron, but You cannot please everyone.

The question is why didn't YOU have problems with doing what you did? And I'm hoping you're using hyperbole in describing what your fellow associates felt about Calvinists. Perhaps you're taking great liberty in claiming another human being especially Christians hate anyone.

If someone made a claim I had that sentiment towards another I'd tell them in short order to dial that back. Nobody should charge another with that unless perhaps they said that ACTUAL WORD. And to tell you the truth I was a moderator for a number of years over a pretty big web site....not a Christian one. We would have had big issues with a fellow mod being disingenuous and would be asked to step down.

If anyone watches the video in the link there are some good points to consider such as Person-hood and Relationships. Those two things are entirely absent when it comes to divine determinism and no free will. With these missing and every molecule controlled by God which included every though ,action and deed determined by God without a chance for any other result to occur there is no relationship or Person in God and man. it removes any type of real relationship and amounts to nothing but a facade. One is left with nothing but a narcissist.

The Calvinists were always using scripture, and i could not answer them, so i edited and deleted their posts instead. The other mods haated them also so they made as if nothing was going on.

So why didn't you have a problem doing this within yourself? If someone asked you are you a Christian with integrity what would you have said? So you weren't one? What exactly are you saying about yourself? What's your point?

Even Christian moderators can be very sinful, I know this first hand.

I appreciate your honesty, but you don't even sound like a born again Christian, friend.

I pray and hope you come to know Jesus really did die for your sins and put your faith in him!

He will change in you into a new person and change all those sinful desires you have!

I don't like to make excuses for someones behaviors and or sins. Some would say Davids deeds would disqualify him from being a christian. Some would say the one Paul disfellow-shipped in I Corinthians was not a christian who later repented in 2 Corinthians and was restored to fellowship.

I think at times these online forums can bring out the worst in people and not the best. I know I have been treated and called many things by so-called christians online that are not a characteristic of a believer. The same with a couple of mods.

I have a recent experience just yesterday on another forum where I have a different screen name. Most there know I have a forum. This one person in particular was giving me reputation points in a couple of threads with just about every single post saying he agreed with me, we are on the same page and thanked me several times for my comments that were biblical and brought insight into the discussion.

Then the person made a comment about another forum that was very negative saying its a dictatorship and mentioned Berean and proceeded to call out a member saying they were banned and mocked them. Well I know the poster he was talking about from both forums so I called the person out and said that is not true the person has never been banned. So they said how would I know are you a member there ? I said yes. They asked with the same screen name and I said no. Then asked what my name was at Berean.

I said civic. Then all hell broke loose with the personal attacks in public on that forum. Several posts in a row attacking my character and telling lies about me, the administrator etc......... It was really ugly and I did not retaliate and put the person down but did report the personal attacks with the mod who recommended I place them on ignore.

So now that I know how the person feels about me , the admin and this forum they are on a vacation for a while.

I have found offense and mistreatment in relationships and bad feelings are the #1 area of spiritual warfare.

It's very hard to completely put our flesh aside and not retaliate just out of resentment or pride.

When I was disciplined by my parents as a kid, they would say something like "This hurts me more than you."

But I knew they were often petty, throwing their authority around, just doing what they wanted for their own fleshly reasons, not some pure holy desire just to refine my character.

I became jaded about authority figures in general and I had to put that back in place—Peter tells us even abusive and cruel authorities, God still wants an attitude of respect from us.

It's very hard to put that sin nature to death, and do everything we do out of pure motives without deceiving ourselves when it's just to get petty revenge.

Thanks for the heads up, We're trying to avoid that happening here. You know what they say, you learn by your mistakes. We're still learning. Our goal is that our members love God and love each other. One way to do that is to treat each other with respect. We're not asking for everyone to believe the same things, only to respect other people's beliefs and opinions.

I think at times we like to pride ourselves that we know or we think we know the spiritual status of people, saved or not. I think the Bible seeks to steer us away from doing this. Paul in 1 Cor 5:11 talks about if anyone called a brother.....doesn't say we always have to figure it out whether they are or not....just if one is claiming a certain thing and have gone off the rails....don't always be seeking to make the determination as to whether they are or not.

Sure. I'd suggest there are many that really don't have the spiritual foundation of Christian character with the fruits of the Spirit which would cause them to show temperance and self control to qualify them to even teach the Bible.

Back in 2020 I made a post in which I said Adam had no spirit, he was just flesh. A calvinist poster found it, and re-posted it which was quite embarrassing. He brought it up several times. One day I posted it and used the calvinists name, as if he posted it, and mocked and ridiculed the post, and I gave a corrected view. The calvinist was a truck driver, of all things, so when he complained and said I was a liar, I had salty ban him for a year, because he called me a liar, lol. No one knew what really happened. he tried to come back after the year long ban, but I threatened him in private messages and because he would not take the bait, I banned him permanently.

I have a masters degree in theology. I know enough to fake that I was a calvinist. I make like I am very helpful, while insulting and trying to destroy their character in public view. It is like a game for me at this point. you can see me do this everyday.

When I was a calvinist i use to play those games all of the time on another forum. my human nature is to give it back twice as bad as you are giving it to me. I gave up calvinism a couple years ago and have since changed my attitude now and since having this forum for the past year I have changed my way of thinking now.

I know its a cliche but now I kill em with kindness. Like Paul says in Romans 13 with heaping coals on their heard not returning evil for evil but evil with good.

I always have to check myself and reread my posts now before hitting the send button and making sure I'm honoring God and not myself. So now its becoming a good habit instead of the old habits that were hard for me to break that appealed to my human nature of getting back.

There are lots of people in hell with a masters degree in theology.

Only true repentance and faith in Jesus' Blood will save you, friend.
And we do not know a man’s heart. God knows his heart. I will not cast judgment on another’s salvation. That’s Gods department not mine.

Correct,

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. Romans 14:4

A born again person knows they are born again. He knows if he is born again or not. He knows the gospel. That’s between him and God. For all I know you might not be born again and lost. Just sayin
