specifically traditional archery..... .. and even more specifically traditional heavy longbow archery...
. ... although i do own a few lighter weight recurve bows i use for teaching.... even some small super light bows for teaching children......
my primary hunting bow and the one i practice on the range with is a custom martin savannah with a draw weight of 60 pounds at 23 inches draw length.... (23 inches is actually considered a very short draw length... but then so is being 4 ft 10 and almost 1/2.... i am what they call vertically challenged. ..
.)..
but on top of being a traditional archer i also make traditional hunting arrows with hand cut wood shafts and natural feathers.. .. and also various designs of native american arrows with hand knapped flint and obsidian broadheads....
my dad is also a longbow archer and bowhunter... (he;s the one who taught me)... and he shoots a long bow of 83 pounds draw weight at 28 inches.... but he pulls it back to almost 31.... it;s a monster of a bow and requires arrows super strong in the spine
